Oktoberfest Pittsburgh


My agency had the pleasure of branding and promoting OKTPGH’s very first year (and the second)! A vibrant blend of Bavarian tradition and Steel City spirit, this 11-day community event aims to honor the rich cultural traditions of Oktoberfest while showcasing the best of Pittsburgh’s local talent and businesses.

Primary Assets: 

The Gatesman creative team created an award-winning aesthetic of a classic yet new Oktoberfest celebration for the ‘Burgh, scooping up a Silver Addy Award from the 2024-2025 Pittsburgh American Advertising Federation Awards.

The main promotional poster served as a key touchpoint, featuring my line, “Your Time to Stein,” which welcomed attendees and set the tone for an unforgettable experience.






Social Media:

I had a little too much fun writing for Steinholding competitions, Dachshund races, Ferris wheels on bridges, and more.

We even garnered 14 million+ impressions through programmatic and paid social ads.




Merch and More:

We made everything from the coasters to the Ferris wheel display.






We were tapped again to help out in 2025:


We stayed true to the familiar branding, adding a slight twist and new tagline for the second year: “Raise One by the River.”
