Hi, I’m Kayla!

Long Story:
When I was younger, one of my dream jobs was to name nail polish colors. Now, as a copywriter, I think that ambition makes perfect sense. I broke into advertising as I got older and began my career with a Visual Communications degree from the University of Delaware. I still hold onto the dream of naming a few nail polishes along the way.

What I love most about my job is the process of writing and rewriting until the words finally click. Until they stick the landing. Until my boss says, “Kayla, that’s golden.”

As I evolve in this field, I find that unique messaging requires a clever and thoughtful approach. So, I’m constantly testing short, sweet, witty, and memorable copy to achieve that. What drives my process is a healthy serving of humor and a whole lot of creativity.

Short:
I’m a writer chasing clever ideas and feel-good projects. I love this field because this is where I feel most creatively in tune with myself!

Between bouts of creativity, you’ll probably find me grabbing an iced maple latte from a local coffee shop or hunting for vintage pieces on Etsy.
